EmpowerHer Workshops (2023)

Our EmpowerHer workshops reached over 500 women in local communities, providing them with valuable tools and knowledge to enhance their self-esteem, self-defense skills, and financial literacy. Through interactive sessions, participants gained the confidence to navigate various aspects of their lives, fostering empowerment and resilience.

SafeSpaces Campaign (2022-2023)

The SafeSpaces Campaign focused on creating safe and inclusive environments for women. We collaborated with local businesses, community centers, and schools to raise awareness about the importance of safe spaces. The campaign resulted in the establishment of designated safe spaces, contributing to a more secure atmosphere for women in public places.

Legal Advocacy Initiative (Ongoing)

Our ongoing Legal Advocacy Initiative has been instrumental in advocating for policy changes to strengthen legal protections for women. Collaborating with legal experts, we have actively lobbied for improved legislation to hold perpetrators accountable and provide better support for survivors of violence.

Healing Through Art Exhibition (2024)

In collaboration with local artists and survivors, our Healing Through Art Exhibition showcased the transformative power of art in the healing process. The event not only raised awareness about the impact of violence against women but also provided a platform for survivors to express their experiences and find support within the community.

Women's Support Helpline (Ongoing)

The Women's Support Helpline, launched in 2022, has been a lifeline for countless women seeking immediate assistance and support. Our trained professionals have provided counseling, resources, and referrals, creating a confidential space for women to share their experiences and receive the help they need.

Art for Change: Murals Across the City Advocate for Women's Rights

Genzplus has embarked on a city-wide initiative to raise awareness and advocate for women's rights through the power of art. Local artists, in collaboration with our organization, have begun creating vibrant and impactful murals across prominent locations in Freetown.
